Central Heating

Central heating installation, radiator upgrades, smart controls and system cleaning across Liverpool, Crosby, Waterloo and nearby areas.

Central heating work covers everything between the boiler and the radiators: new systems, extra or larger radiators, moving pipework, better controls and cleaning out a system full of sludge. Peter starts by finding out which rooms are cold and why, because a cold radiator can be a balancing problem, sludge, a failing pump or simply a radiator too small for the room.

Work we do

  • Full central heating installations
  • Adding radiators or swapping them for larger or modern ones
  • Thermostatic radiator valves and smart thermostats
  • Powerflushing and chemical system cleaning
  • Moving or rerouting pipework
  • Balancing so every room heats up evenly

What affects the price

The number of radiators, how far pipes need to run, whether floors need lifting and the condition of the system water all change the cost. A powerflush is priced on the number of radiators. If the boiler itself is the problem, see boiler repair or boiler servicing; if you are replacing the boiler at the same time, boiler installation lets both jobs be planned together.

What to send

A list of the rooms with problems, photos of the radiators involved, and the boiler make and model. For new radiators, rough room sizes help Peter work out the output each one needs.

What our customers say

“Peter and Alan have just serviced our Worster Bosch boiler. Great job, and for really reasonable price. Peter's also helping me with updating our existing radiators for modern ones. Can't recommend enough!”

The Weaponster

“Fab service from Peter and his team. Reliable, reasonable and tidy from start to finish. They weren't phased at all by the installation of a new radiator in a tricky location. Thank you for keeping us warm 🙌🔥”

Sophie White

“Amazing Peter is ! If you have any elderly family and you have boiler issues then he's the guy for you ..he's looked after my 89 year old dad, going out after it's fitted to help him work the new system out! Even after showing him a few times nothing is ever to much... Cheers fella”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the bottom of my radiator cold?
That usually means sludge has settled inside it. One radiator can be taken off and flushed out; if several are cold at the bottom, the whole system may need a powerflush.
How long does it take to change a radiator?
A like-for-like swap on the same pipe positions usually takes an hour or two per radiator. A different size that needs the pipes moving takes longer.
Do I need a powerflush with a new boiler?
Often, yes. Dirty water from an old system can block a new boiler's heat exchanger, and manufacturers expect the system to be cleaned when a boiler is fitted. Peter checks the water at the survey.
Are you qualified for central heating work?
Yes. Central heating and gas pipework are both on Peter's Gas Safe registration, number 301686.
