Boiler Repair

When a boiler stops, the display usually gives a clue. A fault code, a pressure reading below 1 bar, or a boiler that fires and then locks out each point to a different part. Peter tests before he replaces anything, so you are not paying for parts the boiler did not need.

Faults we fix

• No heating, no hot water, or hot water only
• Pressure dropping and needing topping up
• Ignition and flame failure lockouts
• Leaks from the boiler, valves or pipework
• Failed pumps, diverter valves and fans
• Frozen condensate pipes in cold weather
• Fault codes on Worcester Bosch, Baxi and other common makes

What decides the cost

The price depends on the make and age of the boiler, the part that has failed and whether the supplier has it in stock. On an older boiler where parts are hard to get, Peter will give you a repair price and a replacement price side by side so you can choose; see boiler installation. Once it is fixed, a yearly boiler service helps stop the same fault coming back.

Before you call

Have the boiler make and model to hand (it is on the front or under the casing), the fault code if one is showing, and the pressure gauge reading. A photo of the display sent by WhatsApp helps too.
